Masterless Box Design

This large project included the package design as well as the design of all printed elements inside the box. The background motif was derived from a katagami — or Japanese textile stencil — of umbrellas, water, and pine needle clusters. Similarly, the tatami texture featured on the playmat was derived from a photo of tatami mats, processed in Adobe Creative Suite to transform it into a seamless texture.
